Applying for a career at the BILSTEIN GROUP. From step one of the process, to day one in your new role.

What happens when you send us your application? What can you do to make sure you immediately create a good impression? Which of your questions can we resolve in advance? See this section for everything you need to know about applying to us.

As soon as we receive your application, it enters into a structured process to ensure it is processed as quickly as possible. First off, you will receive confirmation of receipt. Immediately after this, our HR department will make an initial assessment of your application.

Apprentices.

If you are applying for an apprenticeship, you will be invited to an assessment centre. Once you have successfully completed this, you will be invited for a second interview as part of a larger group. The final stage of the selection process then takes the form of a one-on-one interview. We will inform you of our final decision as soon as possible.

Experienced hires.

If you apply to our company as an experienced hire, the department you wish to join will carry out the pre-selection process. A decision will then be taken following one or two interviews. Depending on the number of applications received, this process can take up to two months.

Getting to know each other.

Your interview marks the first step in your career in steel. As such, we believe that it is very important that this meeting is open, honest, and serves both of our interests. We specifically work to form strong, long-lasting ties with our staff. To achieve this, employees must feel happy, be clear about what is expected of them, and have confidence that they have found the right platform to build their career. At the same time, we want them to impress us with a willingness to innovate, people skills, hard work and expertise.

Your path to success.

If both parties agree that we make a good match, we will draw up a roadmap for your further development within our company. In this plan, we set out your targets, outline training and development requirements and lay down a schedule for giving feedback. These feedback reviews allow both sides to check on the progress made towards objectives and to make any necessary adjustments to the development path undertaken. Beyond these official meetings, you are welcome to ask us questions at any time.
